Dear Friends,

The reunion was fantastic. We had 3 events. Two were held at the school, at which we had around 115 people in attendance.  Both of these events centered on the past 20 years. We had lots of pictures of all the graduating classes plus lots of current pictures of them as well.  J.J. Howard was responsible for the food (buffet and a brunch) and it was delicious.  We had a program throughout the evening on Thursday night with a continuous slide show of pictures of the past 20 years.

Friday night we had our third event at Hotel Stefanie located in the 2 nd district.  Our program at that event featured two testimonies by Aimee Elliot Ghimire (class of 93) and David Walt (class of 2002). Their testimonies were fantastic! We had a VCS quiz over the history of VCS. We saw 2 DVD’s - one of the 20 year histories of VCS and the other our current DVD of VCS.  Ken Norman talked about the core values of the school. We had 119 people in attendance.

Saturday afternoon the VCS staff played the alumni in basketball. The staff won narrowly.  I would say at the next reunion we might see the alumni winning.

In total we had 163 people attending various parts of the reunion.  They came from as far away as Australia and from western USA. Many participants asked when the next reunion will be so I know having this was worthwhile.

VCS gave as a gift to those who came: an insulated travel mug with Vienna Christian School on it and a double cassette containing a 10 minute DVD of the history of VCS and a CD with more than 1000 pictures spanning all 20 years.

We have pictures of the reunion that you might want to look at. Here is where they are located. I understand that generally they will be at that site for up to a year. I recommend that you view them as small pictures and only enlarge the ones you are really interested in as otherwise it is a slow process.
