On March 18, 2006, 45 students from 8 different Christian schools came together in Vienna, Austria to form the first ACSI Honor Choir. They rehearsed for four days under the direction of Bud Clark, head of the music department at Missouri Southern State University - Joplin, MO. During these days of rehearsing, new friendships were formed, students reached new heights vocally, and God was glorified through the beautiful sounds the choir made. They performed at Peterskirche on the evening of March 21st to a full house. When the final song had ended, the applause went on and on, giving indication of the high level of musicianship that the choir attained.

While this was the first ACSI Honor Choir, all those who participated and heard the choir hope that it will not be the last. The plan is to have future Honor Choirs hosted by a different Christian School each year. The hope is that each of the students and teachers involved will gain a different experience that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
